Try out this stunning, easier-than-you-think braid!

Wreath-braided challah is a beautiful way to showcase the delicious fillings you put into your challah! It not only is a gorgeous shape but adds color to your homemade bread :)
You should use a thick filling when creating this shape. Thinner fillings tend to spill out when you twist the wedges, making it a little difficult to adequately shape and seal the dough. Try this out with pesto, Swedish cinnamon bun filling, or boozy chocolate spread (as seen above)!
How to Wreath-Braid Challah
Roll out your dough into a long, narrow rectangle.
Spread a thin, even layer of a filling of your choosing (see note above) on top of the dough.
Roll up your filled dough into a long, even log.
Using a very sharp knife, cut the log in half, revealing the layers of dough and filling.
Intertwine the two pieces in a braid-like manner with a bit of pressure.
Once you achieve a long, narrow, braided dough, connect the ends by intertwining the dough and pressing it together to form your wreath.
